Here’s what we are currently working on

Cedar Avenue and West Street Repaving

Project Description

The City of Flagstaff has finished replacing select sections of sidewalk and curb, and repaving a portion of Cedar Avenue and West Street . Miscellaneous work and striping operations remain. Work will occur along West Street/Linda Vista Drive, from the slip lane to Cedar Avenue, and along Cedar Avenue from West Street to the west side of the new Fourth-Lockett roundabout

Killip Basin Outlet Structure

Project Description

The Killip Basin Outlet Structure is a storm drain structure that runs from the Killip School Regional Detention Basins to an existing pipe in Main Street to serve as a secondary outlet for larger storm events, preventing water from overtopping the basins. We have begun constructing the Killip Basin Outlet Structure, which will require the full closure of 6th Avenue, between 1st Street and Main Street, until mid-November 2025. Detour routes will be in place along East Street, 4th Avenue, 3rd Street and Dortha Avenue to allow access for businesses, schools and WF Killip Elementary School within the closure area. Sidewalk access will be maintained throughout the closure area. Motorists and pedestrians are asked to follow the marked detour signage to get to your destination.

Channel Reconstruction - Linda Vista to Cedar Avenue and Dortha Avenue to Ponderosa Park

Project Description

The Channel Reconstruction Project involves constructing a new concrete channel in the drainage wash between Linda Vista Drive and Cedar Avenue, and between Dortha Avenue and Ponderosa Park. The channel will be re-graded and hardened to improve capacity for stormwater runoff conveyance.
