2025 Monsoon Season Recommendations

• Significant progress has been made on the Spruce Wash flood mitigation projects and we are on track to complete all projects before monsoon 2026.

• Even though some projects have been completed, all projects need to be finished for the system to work as designed.

• The system is not complete and an elevated flood risk remains.

• This year, residents are encouraged to:

• Be aware of weather forecasts.

• Sign up for emergency alerts and be ready to shelter in place if necessary.

• Be aware of the neighborhood’s Siren Alerting System and listen for warnings.

• Review the interim conditions map:

• If necessary, place sandbags around doors and low windows of home, not along the roadway.

• A self-fill sandbag station is available on Aztec St (in Thorpe Park near Frances Short Pont). The King St sandbag facility is no longer available.

• Residents can call the service request line at 928-213-2102 for an engineering assessment.

• Do not travel in flooded roadways.

• Get flood insurance for your home. Homeowners insurance does not cover flooding damage.
